Toward ultra high magnetic field sensitivity YBa2Cu3O72d nanowire based superconducting quantum interference devices
We report on measurements of YBa2Cu3O7 d nanowire based Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices (nanoSQUIDs) directly coupled to an in-plane pick-up loop. The pick-up loop, which is coupled predominantly via kinetic inductance to the SQUID loop, allows for a significant increase of the effective area of our devices. Its role is systematically investigated and the increase in the effective ...
متن کاملLow-field magnetic resonance imaging with a high-Tc dc superconducting quantum interference device
A spectrometer incorporating a high transition temperature dc superconducting quantum interference device ~SQUID! is used to obtain nuclear magnetic resonance signals from protons in mineral oil at room temperature in fields up to 3 mT. The spatial separation between the SQUID magnetometer at 77 K and the sample at room temperature is less than 1 mm. At 2 mT, the signal is easily resolved in a ...

متن کاملSuperconducting quantum interference devices based on YBaCuO nanobridges
Direct current SQUIDs based on YBaCuO thin film nanobridges have been investigated. Critical current densities Jc of the devices are up to 3310 6 A/cm at T577 K and show a temperature dependence of (12T/Tc) . High values of the voltage-flux modulation are observed ~8 mV peak to peak at 77 K, 45 mV at 4.2 K!. The temperature dependence of the SQUID modulation is found to be essentially different...
متن کاملImproved Liquid-Phase Detection of Biological Targets Based on Magnetic Markers and High-Critical-Temperature Superconducting Quantum Interference Device
In this paper, we propose improved methods of liquidphase detection of biological targets utilizing magnetic markers and a high-critical-temperature superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). For liquid-phase detection, the bound and unbound (free) markers are magnetically distinguished by using Brownian relaxation of free markers. Although a signal from the free markers is zero in an...
